Descriptions
English
Telop is a free iPhone app that rebuilds a 1984 Japanese late-night TV weather forecast, card by card, with tonight’s and tomorrow’s weather for the nearest of seventeen cities, from Kansai to London. In many of them it also carries local teams’ scores and how the trains are running, and its widgets put the cards on the Home Screen. Its maps, plates and type are drawn the way 1984 broadcast equipment drew them, then run through a modeled broadcast signal and a VHS tape, so it looks taped off the air. No account, no ads, no tracking. Coming soon to the App Store from Gravy Consulting Inc., Toronto.
